                         Campina do Monte Alegre (SP), utilizando a t{\'e}cnica de 
                         geoprocessamento. Abordou as seguintes etapas: (1) coleta de 
                         dados, envolvendo cartas planialtim{\'e}tricas - escala 1:10.000, 
                         e produtos de sensoriamento remoto; (2) processamento dos dados e 
                         elabora{\c{c}}{\~a}o dos mapas referentes {\`a}s sub-bacias, 
                         envolvendo caracteriza{\c{c}}{\~a}o dos aspectos 
                         f{\'{\i}}sicos, uso e ocupa{\c{c}}{\~a}o da terra e 
                         delimita{\c{c}}{\~a}o das bacias hidrogr{\'a}ficas e; (3) 
                         delimita{\c{c}}{\~a}o e quantifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o das APPs. Em 
                         seguida os planos de informa{\c{c}}{\~a}o das APPs e uso e 
                         ocupa{\c{c}}{\~a}o da terra foram sobrepostos para realizar o 
                         diagn{\'o}stico ambiental dessas {\'a}reas. A 
                         caracteriza{\c{c}}{\~a}o f{\'{\i}}sica do munic{\'{\i}}pio 
                         mostrou que as maiores classes de declividade e maior densidade de 
                         drenagem ocorrem nos extremos norte e sul do munic{\'{\i}}pio, 
                         onde tamb{\'e}m foi poss{\'{\i}}vel observar maior 
                         ocorr{\^e}ncia de vegeta{\c{c}}{\~a}o nativa (classe floresta). 
                         Das 14 sub-bacias delimitadas, todas apresentam necessidade de 
                         recupera{\c{c}}{\~a}o em APPs. Dessas sub-bacias, quatro 
                         destacam-se por apresentarem situa{\c{c}}{\~a}o de 
                         irregularidade em mais de 50% nas APPs. Os resultados desta 
                         pesquisa servir{\~a}o de apoio para a administra{\c{c}}{\~a}o 
                         municipal no sentido de promover a{\c{c}}{\~o}es que visam 
                         recuperar {\'a}reas degradadas e no planejamento territorial do 
                         munic{\'{\i}}pio. ABSTRACT: This research aimed to characterize 
                         the physical aspects and land use in permanent preservation areas 
                         (APPs) of subbasins located in the municipality of Campina do 
                         Monte Alegre (SP), using the geoprocessing technique. It addressed 
                         the following steps: (1) data - scale 1:10,000, and remote sensing 
                         products; (2) data processing and elaboration of maps referring to 
                         the sub-basins, involving characterization of physical aspects, 
                         land use and delimitation of hydrographic basins and; (3) 
                         delimitation and quantification of APPs. Then the information 
                         plans of the APPs and land use were superimposed to carry out the 
                         environmental diagnosis of these areas. The physical 
                         characterization of the municipality showed that the highest slope 
                         classes and highest drainage density occur in the northern and 
                         southern extremes of the municipality, where it was also possible 
                         to observe a higher occurrence of native vegetation (class 
                         'forest'). Of the 14 delimited sub-basins, all need to be 
                         recovered in APPs. Of these sub-basins, four stand out for 
                         presenting an irregular situation in more than 50% of the APPs. 
                         The results of this research will serve as support for the 
                         municipal administration in order to promote actions that aim to 
                         recover degraded areas and in the territorial planning of the 
                         municipality.",
